Little Olympics
We are so glad you are interested in joining us at the Little Olympics! Please Read below for the following Rules and Regulations.

The San Angelo Little Olympic PLAY DAY is an annual activity involving all San Angelo elementary schools, San Angelo parochial schools, and the other elementary schools in the county that desire to participate. The Little Olympics is basically a PLAY DAY involving track and field for both girls and boys in grades 4-6. The San Angelo Little Olympic PLAY DAY is sponsored annually by the San Angelo Kiwanis Club.
Events for the Little Olympic PLAY DAY will consist of the 60-yard dash, 75-yard dash, and the 300-yard relay for both boys and girls. The field events for boys will consist of the bar chin and the running long jump. The girls' field events will consist of the running long jump and the flexed arm hang.
Students will participate with groups according to age, which will be verified by each coach. Needed to participate will be a Student Registration and a $35 Little Olympic Fee.

There will be three age groups participating:
(1) Class A - 12 years of age and not over 13 years, 7 months, as of April 1.
(2) Class B - 11 years and under as of April 1. This means a participant may be 11 years 11 months and 29 days or under as of April 1, and still be eligible in Class B.
(3) Class C -10 years and under as of April 1. This means a participant may be 10 years, 11 months, and
29 days as of April 1, and still be eligible for participation in Class C.
A child eligible for Class B or C, if capable, may participate in Class A. A child eligible for Class A may only participate in Class A. Once a child participates in any particular class, he must remain in that class for all competition. Participants may not move from one class to another.
The meet is opened with a parade of all participants around the track at San Angelo Stadium. The time has been established to begin assembling at 3:30 p.m. with the parade to take place at 3:40 p.m. Participation in events will take place immediately at the conclusion of the parade.
Rules & Regulations
* No videotaping will be reviewed to determine a place in a race.
